Recently, Becher Construction was approached by a friendly client named Ryan who requested a mantel installation service for his mother’s remodeled house. Having previously installed a custom mantel at Ryan’s place, he had hoped for something similar. The desired bespoke fireplace mantel fell outside his mother’s budget, so we found an affordable, yet charming mantel on Wayfair to meet their needs. When the mantel arrived, the house had been freshly painted, so we took care to protect against dust while cutting into the brick chimney to locate the studs for the installation. Despite the slight change in plan, the whole process turned out great; the newly installed mantel fit perfectly, adding a classy touch to their living space.
